Exciting things for all the family to do!

For example, did you know that there is a tradition in Southern Jutland of waking up Father Christmas? This often takes place in connection with the lighting of the Christmas tree, a Christmas market or something similar, whereby the children shout at Father Christmas to wake him up after sleeping for such a long time.

In November and December 2024, you can also enjoy numerous concerts and theatre productions with local, national and international performers.

Mulled wine in Sønderjylland

Mulled wine is part of the festive season, and there are many great places to enjoy this warm Christmas tradition. Kislings in Sønderborg, Det Lille Madhus in Aabenraa and Norlyk Distillery in Tønder are just some places offering mulled wine. In Haderslev, you can also try the ‘Gløgglich Ruten’ and go on a fantastic mulled wine tasting tour.
